Fred Olsen is a clear market leader, covering 6 sea routes for foot passengers, leisure vehicles and freight, carrying more than 2,700,000 foot passengers, 550,000 cars and more than 200,000 heavy goods vehicles each year. The fastest crossing from Tenerife to La Gomera goes via the harbours Los Cristianos de Tenerife to San Sebastián de La Gomera.
Thanks to the incomparable service offered by Fred Olsen Express and its fleet of spectacular, modern fast ferries, the Canary Isles have been brought closer together. Without a doubt, Fred. Olsen Express is your best choice for travel between the islands.
Tourists visiting Lanzarote have the option to visit two neighbouring islands, La Graciosa and Fuerteventura. There are also ferries departing from Arrecife to other islands such as Gran Canaria. It is well worth a visit to Fuerteventura, if you are here in Lanzarote for any length of time, and the best way to get there is by the regular ferry services operating from Playa Blanca at the south of Lanzarote.
The quality of the ferries operating on this route is exceptional for such a short journey, with the recently introduced Fred. Olsen Bocayana Express putting many cross channel ferries to shame.
Comfortable crossing from Tenerife to La Gomera
With the big Fred Olsen ferries La Gomera can be reached safely from Tenerife. The smaller ferry Benchi Express is a bit more maneuverable and is also able to go into the ports of Playa Santiago and Valle Gran Rey on La Gomera.
Fast passenger ferry: Benchi Express
The passenger ferry Benchi Express runs since the end of March 2009 between between Tenerife and the three ports of La Gomera: Valle Gran Rey, Playa Santiago and San Sebastian.
Three times a day the Fred Olsen ferry Benchi Express goes between the islands and can carry about 330 passengers in each journey.
Tickets can be booked in advance with ferryto.net or at the terminal but if you are travelling right in the middle of peak holiday season, it is best booked in advance. |
